A man terrified staff and customers at a McDonalds in Stockport after walking in with a knife.

Wearing a balaclava he walked up to the counter at the store on Sandy Lane with a 10inch knife and demanded cash from the tills and safe. The man then ran off in the direction of Clarendon Street. It happened at around 8:30pm on Friday (Oct 2nd).

“Fortunately no-one was hurt in the robbery, but the staff were understandably terrified to be confronted by a man armed with a knife.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who saw the man enter or leave the shop, or who has any information about the incident, to contact police.”

– Detective Constable Kulbir Kaur
