Michelle Keegan has returned to Manchester but the former Corrie star has ditched the blonde and is back to her brunette locks.
She said she was so relieved to have ditched the bottle blonde look which she adopted for ITV's Tina and Bobby, chronicling the life of England captain Bobby Moore
She laughed: “I’m so glad to be back to brunette, I feel like me again! But I wanted to go blonde for the role [as Bobby Moore’s wife Tina], it was good for me to get into the role but I’ve never dyed my hair before, and I probably won’t ever go that blonde again!”
“It’s great to be back in Manchester, this is my roots, and because it’s here my mum, dad, stepmum, stepdad, my brother are all here to see the screening which is lovely.”
Since leaving Corrie in dramatic fashion when her character Tina McIntyre was killed off, Michelle has worked back to back on high-profile dramas. She admits she can’t quite believe how well things have gone.
She says: “I’ve been very lucky. I went from being very actiony, rolling round in the mud and blood on Our Girl and then straight into a 60s period drama with Tina and Bobby.”
Former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan will tie the knot over the Bank Holiday weekend with The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright.

The couple have been celebrating their upcoming nuptials in recent weeks with a string of hen and stag dos, which saw Keegan take a group of friends away to Dubai.
