Manchester City Council has confirmed details of a victory parade on Monday May 14 after Manchester City were crowned Premier League Champions.

The event will start at 6pm in Albert Square when the players will do a question and answer session.

An open top bus will then leave Albert Square at 6.30pm.

It will then take the following route through the city:

  • 6.30pm Albert Square
  • 6.30pm Princess Street
  • 6.45pm Portland Street
  • 7pm Deansgate
  • 7.30pm St Mary's Gate
  • 7.45pm Corporation street

"Having the city’s two clubs contest the title has brought Manchester worldwide attention and helped boost tourism revenues.

"It’s been a nail-biting finish to the season and the council stood ready to support a parade whichever club triumphed.

"This parade is an opportunity for Man City fans, who have experienced countless ups and downs over the years, to celebrate a resounding success.

"We expect tens of thousands to take to the streets and enjoy an historic moment.”

– Sir Richard Leese, leader, Manchester City Council

People trying to get in or out of the city centre are being warned to expect road closures.
