WATCH: Support group says disabled students don't get support they need

Applying to universities, sorting out finances and accommodation, and trying to get the grades can be stressful. But if you are disabled, these challenges can be the tip of the iceberg.

Around 24 thousand disabled students are studying in the north west but one disability rights group says they often don't get the support they need. It says many are dropping out or put off going at all.


Lord Leveson received honorary fellowship

Liverpool-born Lord Justice Brian Leveson will receive an Honorary Fellowship from JMU today.

A former Liverpool College student he was the lead prosecution counsel during the trial of Rosemary West as well as the Anthony Walker murder case.

Last Summer it was announced Leveson would lead the public inquiry into issues of British press culture, practices and ethics raised by the News International phone hacking scandal.
