The NHS has issued an apology after two kidney transplant patients contracted cancer from donated organs. 59-year-old Robert Law, from Wirral, and 46-year-old Gillian Smart, from St Helens, were both told they had the disease after life-saving opertions at Royal Liverpool Hospital.
