Man shot dead named

Armed Greater Manchester Police officers shot a man dead after the car he was in was stopped in Culcheth, Cheshire. The incident, which took place on Saturday night, has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Grainger family demand answers after police shooting

Anthony Grainger shot dead by police

The family Anthony Grainger are demanding answers about the circumstances surrounding his death. The 36 year old was shot by Greater Manchester Police in the Cheshire village of Culcheth following a planned operation into armed robberies. Investigations found he was unarmed.

"Their son was driving a car not armed not weapon and he was shot dead and we want to know why," Keith Dyson family solicitor.
