A soldier from Poulton is taking part in a two week trek across North Africa to raise money for the Parachute Regiment Charity. Private Patrick Burns lost part of his leg to a roadside bomb while serving in Afghanistan. The group hopes to raise £40,000 to help other injured paratroopers.
