A woman has denied killing her baby son who died after a television fell on top of him. Natalie McMillan, 24 and from Burnley, pleaded not guilty at Preston Crown Court to the manslaughter of four-month-old Kian McMillan.
The baby was taken to hospital with head injuries after the incident at his home in Scarlett Street, Burnley, on December 6 last year. He was transferred from the Royal Blackburn Hospital to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital but died the next day.
McMillan also denies an offence of child cruelty. Edward Hanratty, 40, is also charged with child cruelty and he too denies the offence. Both were granted bail ahead of their trial on December 11.
