Three people have been sentenced for attacking a Manchester University student and leaving him fighting for his life in a culvert.
Michael Brownlie, 26, and Nicholas Lindsay, 22, were sentenced to 18 years for the attack on Daniel Whiteley.
Lindsay's girlfriend, Katie Mongan, 18, was given seven years in prison.
