Shots have been fired at a van in north Manchester. Officers were called to the junction of Holland Road and Arden Road in Crumpsall following reports of an abandoned vehicle. Upon arrival they found an Iveco van on Arden Road and had gunshot damage to the windscreen and a door.
Superintendent Neil Bhole said: “We are at the early stages in our inquiries but I want to stress immediately that nobody has been injured and we have no indication that this is connected to yesterday’s tragic events.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
