29-year-old Dale Cregan is appearing before magistrates in Manchester this morning charged with four murders.
He is accused of murdering police constables Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone in a gun and grenade attack on Tameside.
He's also charged with the murders of father and son Mark and David Short earlier this year and three counts of attempted murder.
