Greater Manchester Police has now referred five separate complaints about Jimmy Savile to the Metropolitan Police for further investigation.
A further six complaints have not yet been referred, bringing the total number of allegations against Savile in Greater Manchester to eleven.
These are historic complaints dating back to the 1960s.

Greater Manchester Police said "inquiries are ongoing to fully understand the circumstances of the incident."
