Seventeen arrests in drugs crackdown
Seventeen people have been arrested today as part of a crackdown drug dealing on the streets of North Manchester and Salford.
As part of a pre-planned operation, dubbed Operation Cairo, warrants were executed at eighteen addresses.
Police are cracking down on those supplying heroin, particularly in Cheetham Hill and Crumpsall.
Community-led intelligence told detectives drugs were being bought and sold in broad daylight.
