A month on since the deaths of two PCs in Hattersley

A month ago today Greater Manchester was in shock as tributes to PCs Nichola Hughes and Fiona Bone, the police officers who were killed in a gun and grenade attack, flooded in.

Their Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy laid his flowers at the scene of their deaths and paid his own tribute to PC Bone, who he described as an old-fashioned copper with a trademark smile, and PC Hughes, who impressed everyone with her dedication and cheerfulness.

While their deaths caused widespread sadness, they hit the neighbourhood of Hattersley - where they happened - especially hard.

Clare Fallon has ITV Granada's second report looking at life there following the murders.
