Police in Merseyside are investigating a shooting in Maghull in which a 19-year-old man was injured.
Emergency services were called to Hall Lane just after 4.10pm this afternoon.
A 19-year-old man suffered an injury to the head, thought to be caused by a shotgun.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance where his wound is being treated – it is not thought to be life threatening.
Officers believe the victim was travelling in a car on Hall Lane, when it was in collision with a dark coloured Mercedes.
The victim then got out of the car and was shot at by one of the occupants of the Mercedes.
Officers are keen to trace the dark coloured Mercedes car and would urge anyone in the Moorhey Road area at 3pm or Hall Lane area after 4pm, who may have seen this car, to come forward.
