A man from Wythenshawe has been jailed for sexually abusing children over 30 years ago.
Charles Simpson, 60 of Benchill abused three girls aged between five and 11 between 1977 and 1985.
Detective Constable Suzanne Keenaghan said: "Simpson abused the trust the children and their parents placed in him and subjected them to a number of sexual assaults. Thankfully, the victims were brave enough to come forward and ensure Simpson would not get away with his crimes."
Simpson pleaded guilty to 14 counts of indecent assault and has been sentenced to four years in prison at Manchester Crown Court. He has also signed the Sex Offenders Register for life.
