Bolton magistrate charged with fiddling expenses

A Bolton magistrate has been charged with fiddling more than £22,000 in expenses.

Carlton Janson, 68, is accused of carrying on the five-year scam while sitting on the bench at Bolton Magistrates' Court.

Mr Janson, of Bradford Park Drive, The Haulgh, has been charged with four counts of fraud: two of obtaining property by deception and two of fraud by false representation.

He'll appear at court next month.
