Ex-soldiers are being sent into schools in Greater Manchester to raise standards and teach disipline.
The Commando Joe's scheme is one of four nationwide who've recieved nearly 2 million pounds of government funding.
Organisers are keen to stress it isn't a boot camp and say the fitness classes really help children with their schoolwork.
