A dentist who knocked down and killed man in Padiham seconds after sending a text, has been given a suspended sentenced of 40 weeks.
Kay Nolan knocked down dad-of-two Stuart Mather in her Honda Jazz, while he was walking his dog in 2011.
Nolan, who's from Thornton-in-Craven near Skipton in North Yorkshire, admitted causing the 60-year-old's death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
She wrote the text message while parked in a layby but only sent it once she had set off again.
