Police in the North West are cracking down on burglary in the run up to Christmas.
87-year old Christina Hewitt, who suffers from lung cancer, had saved all year to buy presents for her relatives. Yesterday, thieves burgled her home.
Mrs Hewitt is one of a growing number of victims at this time of year.
Police say they're clamping down on burglars, but they're stretched to deal with a 20% increase in the lead up to Christmas.
