A man is in hospital after being shot in what police think was a targeted attack in Salford. Police were called to Westray Crescent, Salford last night to find the 20 year old. The man was taken to hospital for treatment to a gunshot wound. His injuries are not life threatening.
Officers say a short time later a car failed to stop for police on Adelphi Street. Police pursued three men, aged 18, 19 and 19, who were in the car – which is an outstanding stolen VW Polo - were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
All three remain in police custody for questioning.
A young man appears to have been deliberately targeted by offenders armed with a gun, but thankfully his injuries are not life threatening.
