The link road from the southbound M61 onto the anti-clockwise M60 in Greater Manchester will close from 10pm tonight following this morning's diesel spill.
The link road was closed at around 2am this morning after a lorry jack-knifed, rupturing its fuel tank and spilling 250 litres of diesel fuel across the carriageway.
Lane two will remain closed until tomorrow as the fuel has badly damaged the carriageway and it is needing to be resurfaced.
This will be done overnight tonight between 10pm and 5am and will see both lanes of the link road onto the anti-clockwise M60 closed. The link road will re-open before tomorrow's morning peak travel period.
