Cregan murder trial

The trial of a man accused of the murder of two police officers in Greater Manchester has begun. Dale Cregan, 29, is accused of killing PCs Nicola Hughes, 23, and Fiona Bone, 32, in a gun and grenade attack, on September 18 last year.

Dale Cregan confesses to PC killings

Four days into his trial Dale Cregan confessed that he did lure PCs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes to Hattersley with a fake 999 call, before killing them.

He still denies the murders of Mark and David Short.
