Police have made an arrest after a man was stabbed and left for dead in Hindley. The 59-year-old victim was just leaving a relative's home on Worcester Avenue when he was confronted by two men on Sunday
One man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody for questioning.
The victim remains in hospital in a serious condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this stage and he continues to make good progress in his recovery.
