Police in Lancashire are appealing for the public's help in finding a cannister of radioactive material which was stolen over the weekend.
It was taken from a van parked outside a house on New Line in Bacup.
Police were alerted this morning but the break-in could have happened at any time in the previous 48 hours.
The canister is thought to contain Iridium 192, which would only become dangerous if the cannister was opened.
