The trial of a man accused of blasting his parents to death at their home in Sale last year has begun.
Robert and Patricia Seddon were both killed with a shotgun at close range.
Their son, Stephen Seddon, is accused of murdering them to get their inheritance.
The court heard Stephen Seddon was said to have had money problems and an 'insatiable thirst for cash'.
He stands accused of making it seem his father was the gunman.
It has been claimed months earlier Seddon had tried killing his parents by driving him and them into a canal, but all survived.
Stephen Seddon denies murder. The trial continues.
