Weather: Into Tuesday

View over the River Mersey. Fiddlers Ferry at sunset by RICH GLOVER

Overnight: Showers die out and a few clear spells develop. A patchy frost with temperatures dipping to zero under clearer skies. An odd icy stretch is possible.

Tuesday is another mainly dry but fairly cloudy day. Cumbria and the Isle of Man, and maybe parts of Lancashire, will see the best of any sunshine on offer. Temperatures 6C in a lighter, less cold breeze.
