The family of a man who died in a collision on the M6 on Monday have paid tribute to a ‘caring’ man who was a ‘devoted dad’.

Michael Proctor, 22, who was from Southport, was driving a lorry when it was involved in an eight vehicle collision.

A spokesperson said on behalf of Mr Proctor’s family:

“Mike was a loving, caring son and brother and was devoted to his baby son, Tyler.''

''All Mike ever wanted to be was a wagon driver like his Dad. There is now a space in our lives that can never be filled.''
