A man's been charged after two police officers were injured in a hit and run in North Manchester. The officers were hit on Rochdale Road in Harpurhey on Sunday and are recovering in hospital.
Wayne Crompton's been charged with two counts of section 18 assault, dangerous driving, aggravated taking without consent, driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance. A 49-year old man's been released without charge.
