Fire crews in Manchester have tackled a fire involving a pressure washer at a cleaning unit in Walkden.
It is believed a stourage tanker containing fuel caught fire.
Police say two members of staff received serious facial burns in the incident and have been taken by air ambulance to Wythenshawe Hospital. Two other people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
"On arrival at the unit our Trauma Technician came across three injured men who had suffered burns and treated them using gel cooling bandages before they were handed over to ambulance colleagues.
"The fire involved an industrial pressure washer that was powered by diesel."
Four fire engines and a support unit attended the incident and put the fire out using foam.
Residents were advised to close doors and windows as a precautionary measure.
The cause of the fire is to be investigated.
