Police are hunting a mugger who forced a 56 year old woman to the ground as he tried to rob her. She was attacked on Greenside Lane in Droylsden by a man on a bike who made repeated attempts to steal her bag, before making off.
"Thankfully the victim did not suffer any lasting injuries but clearly she was extremely shaken up after her ordeal. The offender must have thought he could simply snatch the bag out of her hands but did not count on the victim fighting back. However, the fact he did not steal anything does not detract from what he tried to do and we need to find this man who obviously does not think twice about trying to steal from people."
