Surgeons in Liverpool have revealed they are treating hundreds of children each year for dog bite injuries. Specialists at the Alder Hey hospital say during the summer they deal with at least one case every day.
The statistics are being released as Police and the RSPCA launch an operation to tackle irresponsible dog owners. Ralph Blunsom reports.
