Police release CCTV of murder suspect buying snacks

Detectives looking for Michael Cope have issued CCTV footage of him buying snacks hours before it is believed Linzi Ashton was murdered.

Mother-of-two Linzi was found at her home on Westbourne Road, Winton by relatives shortly before 6pm on Saturday 29 June 2013.

Her ex-partner Michael Cope is being sought in connection with her murder.

The footage released shows Cope buying snacks and drinks from Best One on Liverpool Road, Eccles at about 10.45pm on Friday 28 June 2013.

Reward to find murder suspect

A £5000 reward is on offer to find the prime suspect in the murder of a Salford mum. Michael Cope, 28, is wanted over the killing of his ex-partner Linzi Ashton. Her body was found last weekend. She had previously accused him of rape.
