Police investigating the disappearance of a Cheetham Hill mother-of-three have made a further arrest.
A 38-year-old man from Salford was last night, Friday 5 July 2013, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is now being interviewed by officers.
Ranya Alayed, 25, from Cheetham Hill, was reported missing from home on Tuesday 2 July 2013.
It is extremely out-of-character for Ranya to disappear in this way and police have launched a missing from home investigation.
Ranya previously lived in the North East of England and moved to Manchester in January 2013.
Officers have also now been given more time to interview three people previously arrested in connection with the investigation.
A warrant of further detention was granted relating to a 33-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and a 55-year-old woman and 64-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Anyone with information about Ranya's whereabouts is asked to call police on 0161 856 3101.
