Police have charged a man with the murder of mother of two Linzi Ashton from Salford. Michael Cope of no fixed abode has also been charged with assault and rape.
25 year old Linzi was found dead at her home on Westbourne Road, Winton by relatives a month ago.
A post mortem concluded she died as a result of pressure to the neck and multiple injuries.
Mr Cope is due to appear at Manchester and Salford magistrates’ court tomorrow.
