Police in Lancashire are hunting a man who absconded from Lancaster Farms prison, after being taken to hospital.
David Osbaldeston, originally from the Accrington area, was taken to the hospital after claiming he'd taken an overdose.
He was jailed in September 2011 and was serving two years and six months for motoring and assault offences.
He is described as white, 178cms tall with short light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a prison issue burgundy T-shirt, jeans and black trainers, with luminous green laces.
Detective Inspector Andrew Ellis said, “We are very keen to trace Osbaldeston and return him to prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.
“We would ask the public to be vigilant and report any sightings to the police - any details the public may have could be crucial.”
