A Cheshire man who lost his wife cancer has fulfilled her dying wish of raising £1m for the hospital which treated her. Elise Roberts was diagnosed in 2010 at the age of 37 and died 9 months later.
She was determined to make a difference to other cancer patients and vowed to raise the huge sum for The Christie in Manchester.
Three years on and her husband Mark has hit the target after numerous challenges which include a trek along the Great Wall of China, and a cycle trip through Vietnam and Cambodia.
Mark is still on the charity trail and with 200 others will climb Kilimanjaro next month.
