The Salford Music Festival starts tonight.
Nearly 300 bands will be performing at venues across the city over the next three days.
The festival's opening headliner is Broughton born soul singer Ren Harvieu whose highly acclaimed debut album Through the Night has seen her profile rocket.
But Ren will be returning to her roots tonight to perform for the first time in her native city at St Philips Church where she was once an altar server!
