Fusiliers fight to keep 2nd Battalion

Army veterans from the region are marching from Downing Street to Parliament to protest over defence cuts.

They are campaigning against a decision to disband to the second battalion of the Royal Fusiliers, which recruits from the North West.

Fusiliers take fight to keep Battalion to London

Around 90 members of the Fusiliers Association are going to London in a bid to save their Battalion.

Six members will hand in a petition to Downing Street against the disbandment of the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers.

The members will then march from Downing Street to Parliament.
