Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Skelmersdale over the New Year during which thousands of pounds worth of designer handbags were stolen.
Between 11.30am on New Year’s Eve and 12.30pm on New Year’s Day, somebody broke into a house on Darfield in Upholland.
They stole 10 Louis Vuitton handbags, as well as a distinctive diamond ring, a laptop and bottles of perfume.
PC Richard Booth said: “The owners of the property have been left devastated by the burglary and we are doing all we can to reunite them with their property and bring the people responsible to justice.
“If anyone has any information about the burglary I would urge them to contact us.
I would also be keen to speak with anybody who saw or heard anything suspicious between the times in question.
“We have also released photographs of some of the handbags and the diamond ring. If you believe you know where some or all of these items might be then please call us on 101.
