Families in a Lancashire town have been evacuated from their homes after part of a coal mine collapsed under their homes.
A section of the 150-year-old Inch Mine collapsed off Manchester Road in Baxenden. Backyards of several houses collapsed and a number of properties have been evacuated.

Greater Manchester Police said "inquiries are ongoing to fully understand the circumstances of the incident."
Business Secretary Greg Clark said talks with Peugeot's boss over a potential Vauxhall takeover were both "constructive and reassuring".
