'Keep Claer,' embarrassing spelling mistake outside school

Council workers have been left red faced after spelling a 'keep clear' sign incorrectly outside a primary school.

The Chester Chronicle reports Cheshire West and Chester Council were altering the street lay-out by Highfield Primary School in Blacon Point Road, Blacon, because of safety concerns.

But after apparently resurfacing the stretch of road in front of the school gate, workmen spelled ‘clear’ as ‘claer’ in the bright yellow. See the full story at the Chester Chronicle.
