A couple accused of conning Rebecca Ferguson out of more than £50,000 have appeared in court.
Raymond Taylor, who's 61, and his wife Rachel, 53, of Forest Road, Southport, are alleged to have pretended to be Miss Ferguson’s solicitor and accountant to obtain the cash.
The magistrates in Liverpool were told the couple intend to plead not guilty to all the fraud charges against them.
Miss Ferguson, from Anfield, had previously said she lost out on £100,000 in a deal over her debut album, Heaven.
The mum-of-two, from Anfield found fame when she was mentored on the X Factor by Cheryl Cole in 2010. She was runner-up in the series, which was won by Matt Cardle.
The 27-year-old singer, a former legal secretary, described 2013 as "the worst year of my life".
