Greater Manchester fire service have released pictures of their battle to rescue a horse from the River Irwell in Radcliffe.
21 year old Ruby, lost her footing and fell in on Monday and was unable to get out of the water.
Her owner called 999 and firefighters from Broughton, Whitefield and Bury stations were called to help out. After a rest, Ruby was able to stand and made her way back to her stable.
