Former Coronation Street site opens to the public

After 53 years, Coronation Street filmed its final scenes at the Quay Street Studio's on December 20th 2013. Coronation Street has now moved to its new home at MediaCityUK leaving behind the street and all of its history. The original set is opening today as an attraction.

Britain's most famous Street opens to the public this weekend

For the first time ever visitors will be able to take a guided tour inside the studio, and will be able to take have their photo taken behind the bar of the Rovers Return.

Other tour highlights will include looking behind the scenes at some of the star's dressing rooms and wardrobes, and visiting Roy's Rolls and the Kabin.
