Police have arrested two men following related stabbing incidents at Parklife Festival at Heaton Park.
At around 7.30pm last night officers were called into the venue to assist security personnel after reports that two men had been stabbed during a fight.
One victim was taken to MRI with serious but non-life threatening injuries and remains in a stable condition at the hospital.The other victim was treated at the on-site medical facility and then discharged by medical staff.
Officers were also called to several other assaults that resulted in three men being injured, but it is unclear whether weapons were used in these attacks at this stage.
'There have been a few isolated incidents at Parklife Weekender Festival which we believe have involved a weapon and have caused to injuries to five men.'
