A man shot by police after allegedly holding his former partner hostage and threatening to kill her was also Tasered by officers.
The police watchdog, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is looking into the events surrounding the armed siege in Shellingford Road, Dovecot, last month.
It has now set out the terms of its investigation into the shooting, which saw a 47-year-old man taken to hospital.
The man has been charged with 11 offences – including threatening to kill his former partner, threatening to kill a police officer, and assaulting two children, aged seven and 11.
The IPCC is investigating whether the decision to shoot the man in the left shoulder was “proportionate and justifiable”.
