Rover Curly returns to the Corrie cobbles
Coronation Street legend Curly Watts made a special appearance back on the famous cobbles - and said he’d love to return permanently to the show.
Kevin Kennedy, 52, played Norman ‘Curly’ Watts in the long running soap for twenty years.
He returned to the set where he made his name as an actor, which is now open for tours by fans, for a series of special appearances.
Kennedy was written out of the show in 2003 when Curly went to start a new life in Newcastle with his second wife Emma.
The Wythenshawe-born star, who now lives in Brighton, said the visit, one of four over the coming weeks, has re-sparked his desire to return.
Visitors will be able to see Kevin on tours between 4pm and 6pm today, Thursday 10th and Thursday 17th July and between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday 24th July.
The Corrie tour takes place at the former set at Granada's old studios in Quay Street in Manchester city centre.
