Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man who has absconded from a prison in Lancashire. Officers say they are making 'every effort to find him'.
Wayne Whitley was serving a life sentence for a series of violent armed robberies committed in 2004. He absconded from HMP Kirkham on 19 July and has not yet returned.
