Memorial unveiled to Gallipoli hero

Memorials have taken place in the North West to mark the centenary of Britain's involvement in the first World War.

In Abram near Wigan memorial was unveiled to Corporal John Grimshaw who fought at the Gallipolli landing. Corporal Grimshaw was awarded one of the famous "six VCs before breakfast" for his part in the conflict. Veterans and serving soldiers were among those who attended.
